Ballet II & III

This class is the foundation for ballet training, focusing on developing a solid ballet technique with an emphasis on understanding correct body placement and terminology. Students will learn the essential principles of ballet, including posture, alignment, and basic movements, which are crucial for progressing in their training.

Jazz II

This class will focus on learning proper jazz dance technique, emphasizing key elements such as isolations of the body, improving performance quality, and developing complex rhythms and patterns. Students will explore the dynamic and energetic style of jazz dance, starting with foundational movements and gradually progressing to more intricate combinations.

Tap II

This class is designed to develop rhythm, style, and sound, focusing on enhancing students’ tap dance skills. Building on the foundational tap techniques learned in the Petite Combo class, students will delve deeper into the art of tap dancing. The class will also focus on producing clear and articulate sounds, ensuring that each tap is crisp and distinct.

Lyrical II & III

Lyrical dance combines elements of both ballet and jazz techniques. This class will teach young dancers to tell a story through their movement, emphasizing the expressive and emotional aspects of dance. Students will learn to convey deep emotions and narratives gracefully, using fluid movements that blend the technical precision of ballet with the dynamic qualities of jazz.

Hip Hop II

This high-energy dance class is a fun and vibrant introduction to the energetic style of street dance known as hip hop. This style of dance is what you typically see in concerts and music videos, characterized by its dynamic and expressive movements. In this class, students will focus on body isolations, mastering the ability to move different parts of their body independently to create sharp, controlled movements.

Acro II

Acro combines elements of dance and acrobatics, offering a dynamic and challenging experience for students. In this class, students will work on building strength, flexibility, and coordination, essential components for mastering acrobatic movements. The Acrobatic Arts curriculum guides students through the appropriate progression of tricks, focusing on tumbling, limbering, and balancing skills.
